The first carjacking occurred in Norwalk around 5 a.m. Thursday, March 28, on Westport Avenue.
According to Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police, two men armed with a gun stole a BMW X3 from the owner.
A short time later the suspects attempted another carjacking at the intersection Dry Hill Road and Westport Avenue, Podgorski said. The driver was able to maneuver the vehicle past the suspects and flee.
The carjacked vehicle was recovered by Patrol Division Officers in Norwalk later in the day.
